MARK GOLDBERG

Principal

Mark Goldberg is a real estate advisor and real estate developer for over 50 years in the Greater Seattle area.  His projects have been featured in state and national publications, and he is a recognized authority on multi-family housing.  Mark’s company was the innovator in America of the first-ever computerized data base for evaluating multi-family marketplaces (the Greater Seattle area) in the late 1980s, which produced a level of granular data not previously seen in the industry (still used today).  He also collaborated with national leaders to bring the construction industry into the 21st Century with methodology that significantly reduces costs and time to build projects.

He leads a company which performs all developmental activities including land acquisition, due diligence, site planning, all governmental interaction, entitlement, conceptual to final design, cost estimating, construction and permanent financing, construction management, lease-up, asset management and disposition.  Mark has a wealth of experience in the complex world of business arrangements underpinning the intersection of land, permits, financing, building design, construction and managing buildings.  He has negotiated agreements with a diverse group of individuals and companies, including REITs, major insurance companies, and Wall Street investment firms.

Mark graduated from Valparaiso University with a BA in Geography and also holds an MA in Kinesiology from Ball State University.

TZIVIAH GOLDBERG

CFO, In-House Counsel

Tziviah Goldberg is the CFO of the company and comes to this position with twenty-nine years’ experience in the operation and management of commercial real estate businesses and non-profit organizations. In her capacity as CFO, she has overseen all financial aspects of the real estate development business since 1991. Tziviah also serves as in-house counsel and works closely with her husband, Mark, on business strategy in all aspects of the company.

Tziviah has also spent significant time in the non-profit world where she served as the Director of Finance, then Executive Director of MMSC Day School, a non-profit in Seattle, from 1999-2015. Tziviah facilitated the raising of over $500,000 per year in private donations, corporate sponsorships and grants. Prior to that, she worked as an attorney specializing in real estate, estate planning and tax law.

Tziviah graduated from City University, Seattle, WA with a BS in Legal Administration, and has a JD from University of Puget Sound (now Seattle University) Law School. She is a member of the Washington State Bar and Federal Tax Court.

ALTER GOLDBERG

Alter is a Real Estate Development Associate who has a principled and tenacious approach to his work. His past career in healthcare industry data management, where he honed his organizational and analytical skills, makes him a good fit to contribute to MBG’s mission: transforming waterfront opportunities into award-winning projects.

To ensure quality and timely execution of development projects from start to completion, Alter provides support to the Principal of MBG Co in the following areas: land use issues, financing, project scheduling, contractor bidding and buyout, cost reporting, preparation of contracts, construction quality oversight and project closeout.

His responsibilities also include market research, which entails site visits to existing apartment buildings and preparing reports on those individual buildings; investigating potential development sites and keeping track of the entire pipeline of proposed projects throughout the county.
